The Seychelles, similar to Indonesia, are an archipelago of some 115 islands spread over the West Indian Ocean. There are two distinct island groups, the Inner and the Outer Islands. The granitic Inner Islands are around the principal islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. These principal islands form the cultural and economic hub of Seychelles, as well as the centre of its tourism industry.
